Welcome to the First Day of Fieldstone Middle School - Tuesday, September 8, 2026

Greetings Fieldstone Families!

We enjoyed welcoming so many of you to our Open House earlier this week! The purpose of this communication is to provide you some information regarding the start of school for your Fieldstone Middle School student.

First Day of School

School will open at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.  Your child should report to their Homebase classroom at that time. The school day begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 2:46 PM.  Homebase will be extended only for the first day of school in order for Homebase Teachers to organize students for the start of the school year.

Your child will receive a paper copy of his or her schedule during Homebase.  He or she will also receive a school agenda.  The Fieldstone agenda is an important tool which will help with home-school communication, provide your child with important information, and help him or her to stay organized.  

Your child will also receive a Yondr pouch to secure their personal cell phone, smart watch, and earbuds during instructional time.  The pouch may remain on your child throughout the school day and in school at the conclusion of the day.  Click here for some discussion points you may want to consider when reviewing this matter with your child.

Student Arrival

If your child is taking the bus to school, they will enter the building in the front.  If they have a Homebase in the 100’s hallway, they will enter through the Gym Doors.  If they have a Homebase in the 200’s hallway, they will enter through the Main Entrance Doors.  All students will have the opportunity to eat breakfast upon arrival at school.

If you are dropping your child off in the morning, drop off is in the back of our building.  Drop off ends at 8:00 am.  After that time, you will need to drop your child off in the front of the building so he or she can check in with Attendance.  Homebase begins at 8 am and the expectation is that our students are in their Homebases ready to start their day at that time.  

Meet the Teacher Nights

Our children are most successful when home and school work closely together.  To open the conversation, please plan to attend our annual “Meet the Teacher” evenings: 

• Tuesday, September 15th for parents of 7th graders.

• Wednesday, September 16th for parents of 8th graders.

Each program will begin at 7:00 p.m. in your child’s Homebase classroom, and is designed for parents or guardians only, so students should not attend.  The purpose of the evening is to provide parents with specific information about their children’s instructional program and to meet individual teachers.

Fieldstone Middle School picture days will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026 and Friday, September 18, 2026 during Physical Education classes.  Your child will take his or her picture during their assigned PE class on one of those days.  Please click here for more information, and we will be sure to share future reminders.

Fieldstone PTSA
