Builders Club is volunteer students who organize food drives for the needy within our school community and fund raise for many non-profit organizations throughout the school year. Below is some of the great work we have done so far this year.
We attended a middle school leadership summit held by the Holocaust Museum and Center for Tolerance and Education on April 19th.
The theme was "personal freedom in our diverse community".
We are working together with Student Government on the FMS Pink Out. We made pink tie dye shirts (with a lot of help from Mrs. Brand - PE teacher). The two clubs are selling the t-shirts, shoe laces, socks and pink ribbon tattoos. All money raised will go to a FMS family that is fighting cancer.
In November, we will be having our food drive. Please send in non-perishable food items. all items collected will be donated to local food pantries. We will also be volunteering at the Haverstraw Food Pantry right before Thanksgiving.
